Cat’s eye is a cut in the reef where steep coral walls are formed. The main village in this whole place is San Pedro. It is a fishing village and there are stray dogs and chickens running around in ecstasy. There are cute cafes and hotels as well. Ambergris Caye is a great place for the fly fishing enthusiasts as well. They come here to catch tarpon, snook, barracuda, permit et al.
The Lighthouse Reef Atoll is one of the prime locations for nature lovers and divers. The Blue Hole which is a UNESCO heritage site is right next to this place. There are turquoise lagoon and Sapphire sinkholes in this place. The stalactite limestone formations are also magnificent natural creations. Half Moon Caye is the most visited Caye of the atoll.
There is, of course, so much more in Belize City. There is Placencia, the popular fishing village, Turneffe Islands Atoll, Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary and Jaguar Reserve and so much more in Belize City. The list is practically endless.
